Phil Wain is Head of Teacher Training at Fairley House School, where he prepares future dyslexia assessors and specialists. With over 25 years of experience in London schools as an Inclusion Manager and SENCO, he is also Safeguarding trained.
Phil holds a practising certificate from PATOSS (The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties) and an OCR Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties from Fairley House School. His assessments carry the same validity as those conducted by an Educational Psychologist.
He has conducted a large number of assessments for universities, private clients (adults and children), and workplace settings. Phil’s work as a specialist teacher is highly individualised, focusing on developing metacognition, self-confidence, and empowering learners to see themselves as active participants in their learning.
